Presumably a fort william game is better than a glasgow commonwealth games opening ceremony.

That strikes me as a bit fishy.

What do you get for sponsoring a match ball? Just a mention in the programme?

Tonights score Full time Fort 1 Starthspey 2

That sinking feeling, the Thistle finished three points clear of Fort last season. Incidentally, Fort are currently fourth from bottom (top of the no pointers, six goals better off on goal difference than bottom of the heap Huntly).

Todays score Deveronvale 2 Fort William 0.

Aye, but the good news was the 95th minute goal that condemned Huntly to defeat (after they'd dawn even in the 91st minute). Second bottom, Fort fans still have vertigo.

SHFLtv will be at Claggan Park tomorrow night to film our game against Huntly. You will be able to watch the highlights next Monday night along with the highlights of the weekend game.

And down 2-3 at another, right. Either way, two team who'll start every game with the thought it's a struggle to win, have stayed exactly where they are in the league and Fort enter another weekend with a team below them. AWESOME!!

Yeah, but Huntly conceded SIX and their goal difference suffered more than Fort's today. C'mon, this is the best season since DL started following them.

DEVASTATING NEWS FOR FORT SKIPPER

Fort William FC captain Andy Martin has been forced to retire from the game due to injury.

Andy suffered a horrific work place injury two years ago and was out of the game for almost a year.

Andy fought his way back to fitness and into The Fort first team and ironically last season played the best football of his career! But Andy was suffering severe pain both during and after games, and on medical advice, has decided to quit!

Speaking to David Macdonald of Fort William FC(Official) earlier Andy said "I tried absolutely everything but it is just too painful, I am gutted! I have been offered a coaching role with The Fort but it's too soon, it would be too hard, I need to take a break to get over this first."

Andy certainly went out on a high. As well as being Fort William FC Player Of The Year 2013/14,he also won The Fort FC Clubman Of The Year at the annual SHFL Awards in May.

And he topped it off by winning the SHFLTV Goal of the Season award for his stunning strike against Buckie Thistle!

Andy Martin has been a major part of the Fort William FC team for more than a decade and it will be strange watching them with out him.

We would like to thank Andy for all his service to the football club and we wish him all the best for the future!

Lost 3-0 today as well

FORT WILLIAM 2 BRORA RANGERS 6 On the upside we managed to score twice against the reigning SHFL Champions!

On the downside they managed to score 6..

or rather 18 year-old striker Colin MacLean scored ALL 6!

We actually opened the scoring in 9 mins with striker Nick Stein scoring his 6th goal in his last 5 games. Sean Grant scored another late on from the penalty spot after Danny MacKay was sent off for a last man challenge on Barna Tot!

Next up is Formartine United at Claggan Park next Saturday.
