Well, fekete. That could be a crucial miss for some.

Announced on his gofundme page: https://www.gofundme.com/welovethomas

Another $62,364 reasons not to donate to anyone's GoFundMe page created for medical reasons.

I've only donated once and that was to a person I knew and who I shared a stage with once who needed funding to produce a new album and tour (sadly his tours never bring him by me). Oh and unless your country has some truly crazy laws, if a person dies their medical bills die with them.

There was this story that some of his cancer funds were stolen at one point. That was too fishy for me to pick him. A mistake, of course.

Henry McCullough, who played with loads of bands - highest profile probs with Paul McCartney and Wings - continues to be very unwell and living on his state pension and little else. A worthy cause, frankly, and there's a star-studded benefit gig 17th March at the Half Moon in Putney.

You'll notice he is on my Cancel My Appointments team! He was actually my 20th selection, as I took it upon Joe Cocker's late 2014 passing that his guitar player would come join him in a synchronistic effort.

At least that was my basis.

Sir C

Apparently and reportedly by his agent Henry McCullough has passed away: http://theafterword.co.uk/rip-henry-mccullough/

Awaiting the usual confirmations.

Well that's a surprising turn of events. RIP Mr McCullough.

Edit: UGH yet another name on my Shadow List (17th hit) that didn't make it to my DDP team (8 hits). In fact I now have more names off my DDP (9) than on it. Bad guessing....I guess.

But a qualifying one will come.

Aye, their ability to get ahead of the beat would please Henry, eh? He managed that on a few tracks over the years

Grammy-winning songwriter, producer and guitarist Lincoln Wayne "Chips" Moman, who wrote and produced hits for Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, B.J. Thomas, Dusty Springfield and many others, has died.

I say party hard on your 79th and let the Chips fall where they may.

In this case the Chips fell "at a hospice facility in his hometown of LaGrange, Georgia, on Monday, one day after his 79th birthday."

RIP

do you think he would obit?

I reckon he would but he won`t see 2017.He may make the death by numbers transfer date on 1st July but I wouldn`t bank on it.

Looking like the end is near: http://www.jambands.com/news/2016/06/16/judie-worrell-bernie-is-now-headed-home :pop:

How very sad.

He'd be a complete 'miss' if not for having DPs that start after Jan 1. News of his stage 4 wasn't out till Jan 4.

Billy Davis looks to be some local Pennsylvania guitarist but it says he played in (later incarnations of) Foghat, the Outlaws, and Badfinger. Anyway, he has a brain tumor.

Another musician with Foghat ties in a bad way - bassist Craig MacGregor is suffering from advanced lung cancer with brain metastasis, which he was first informed of last year. Very unfortunate for him, as it was originally detected at a vastly smaller size in 2012, but doctors never told him about the initial tumor. :skill2:

Slow ride.....back to the hospital.

Interesting timing, as just yesterday I saw a billboard for Foghat playing in a few weeks at a nearby casino (read: 80 miles). I know there were two versions of the band out there, was wondering which one was coming to town. Guessing MacGregor won't be part of it lol

In the - likely - event that ZZ Top see 2014 as a working unit they'll beat the Tops' 44 years with the same line-up. Though, technically speaking, they were a quartet for most of that time as manager Bill Ham was an equal signatory on their contracts. Ham has retired, his former charges are about to release a new album!
