Willie Nelson cancels concerts due to illness.

Anyone who hasn't made a team for the Joker's Dead Pool plans on choosing him?

A possibly crazy man, who claims to be Willie Nelson's son, says that "Daddy" may be very sick or dying and then posts the next day to say he has recovered and is back in the studio:

Positive update on Willie Nelson's health:

There's a new album coming out, but of course, that doesn't have to mean anything. It'll be a tribute to Merle Haggard.

I think he should be on the DeathList from next year on.

Indeed, once you've covered Merle's songs there's a fairly obvious way to add to the tribute!

Billie Joe Shaver hospitalised over heart issues, just the latest episode of a series of health crises:

For some reason, he IS eligible for the Rotten Dead Pool, hmm...

A close shave then.

I'd assume Billy Joe Shaver would get a QO obit in most pools because of his association with the Outlaw Country Scene, but I do find it shocking his name is on Rottendeadpool because outside of us politicians their pool of names is rather thin.

German Country and Schlager singer Gunter Gabriel, the so-called German Johnny Cash, died from complications from a fall at the age of 75.

German C&W is summat else entirely; got a fair bit of response after inflicting this gem on the listening public a few years back:

Very sad news today in Cajun country. :(
Cajun music legend D.L. Menard, who was known as the "Cajun Hank Williams," died Wednesday night (July 26) after a long illness.  He was 85.

The jovial Menard, of Erath (LA), was a beloved figure in Cajun music and authored the anthem "The Back Door," which reportedly sold more than 500,000 copies.

It was listed #72 by Rolling Stone in their top 100 country songs of all time.

Sir Creep got to see him perform a couple times.

Willie Nelson rumours online...

If true, 2017 is turning into another year like 2016. I should listen to his music more often.

To all the death rumours he's had before...

Is this the one where he is no more....?

Biggest music death of the year alongside Chuck, if true. Imo, of course.

David Guest was embarking on an "I'm not dead" tour when he died and (if true) Willie Nelson has been on a "Still not dead" tour - could be a lesson to be learned here I think......
