So this guy is still alive some 18 months after his release? Hmmm...

People often outlive the prognosis, I knew someone who did, was no fun that's for sure

I'm sure I just saw this mug on the news protesting loud and proud in Benghazi... He was shouting something about giving the North Sea Oil back to Scotland. Hmmmm.

Supposedly "riddled with cancer", has just "weeks to live" (again).

Not the only Libyan national whose life is threatened right now...

It'd be a laugh if the seething rebellion at home scared him to the point he asked the UK for political asylum, mind.

Soon to be riddled with bullets?

If that was to happen then there'll be a points bonanza! :shoot:

Al Megrahi blackmailed Qaddafi? Now there's a shocker!

If he really blackmailed Gaddafi I'd imagine he probably would have died within three months of returning home...

Hero's welcome he received would have been rather unlikely

FFS!! We're flying Apache helicopters over that country most nights at the moment, and arming the rebels storming Tripoli. Surely we could arrange some "collateral damage" in his direction.

David Cameron wants Lockerbie Bomber back behind bars.

Since Libya already has a huge military presence, might as well send even MORE people in to track down Megrahi. Between him and Gaddafi, this could be the best round of hide-and-seek we've seen in a while.

Was he involved in the riots as well?

Sounds plausible.

Think he can whistle for him, will probably end up being a Roman Polanski-type international tug of war until they eventually give up, not that I'm convinced he did it anyway. Cameron should leave it alone unless he wants another bureaucratic headache to contend with

It may be in Al Megrahi's best interest to come back to Britain. You have to wonder how the war, especially the battle for Tripoli (if he is there), has affected his treatment.

Not that he has to worry about the rebels. They probably see him as a legend too...

Megrahis in big trouble .People are getting 6 months in jail in the UK for stealing bottles of water so a guy who murdered 270 people stands no chance!
