High suicide risk ?Clearly very unstable and on the same road as Dana Plato!Let`s not forget Lindsay Lohan made the Drop 40 a few years back.

Dana Plato had drug addiction problems, not mental issues. I doubt Amanda would commit suicide, she’ll calm down sooner or later.

Btw, I’d like to make a few comments about your signature.

In Dutch/Afrikaans, the beginning letters in the words ”de” and ”van” are never capitalized. So it’s Joost van der Westhuizen. This is because they are prepositions and not actually part of the name itself.

Similarly, the ”de” part of Olivia de Havilland doesn’t have a capital letter either.

The name Joao Havelange has an ”a-tilde” in it, so it’s João Havelange.

Reinhard Hardegan ---> Reinhard Hardegen.

Aside from spelling errors, I’d like to point out that the Chands are only notable combinedly, not individually. That is, if one of the spouses die and get an obit, the surviving widow will probably not get media attention when he/she dies.

Are you kidding the girl is completely insane and hanging around with numerous drug addicts so it is only a matter of time unless she gets serious psychological help which she has rejected in the past. It is the DDP Drop 40 and Ian Watkins made it on last year so the public opinion clearly doesn`t always correspond with Death list standards.

Cheers for pointing out the various spelling errors. They are now all amended accordingly. Most where accidental apart from de Havilland and van der Westhuizen.de Haviland incidentally is spelled incorrectly on the DL front page which is probably what started that confusion.

The Chands ah yes. I grappled with that one and it is risky. If their claim is verified and one dies the second may well get a obituary in some form. If Katari dies first then Karam might well get an obituary as he is one of the oldest men in Britain. At their age also they could die within a short time frame of each other and get a joint obituary. It is all ifs and buts however that is all part of the game.

It's correct to use a capital letter for your de and van names when they are the first word of a sentence, as above. :)

Based on the teams posted in the ddp 2015 thread looks like Lauren Hill has an outside shot at the drop 40.

What I don't want to see in the Drop 40 are a series of "inspirational" bloggers whose only claim to fame is their impending death.

She was 20 teams away from making it to the Drop 40 list...

Yeah I am astounded only 4 of the drop 40 have snuffed it! Most were fairly strong picks i.e either extremely ill or very old.

The 2015 Drop Forty looking into 2016: the Play Your Cards Right attempt.

With more theme teams and players of an ambulance chasey/shark nature I think the only way we see situations of players getting picked by 200+ the way Thatcher and Mandela were is like this years Jimmy Carter scenario where someone old and well known gets a Brain/Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis in the news in Oct/Nov and its highly publicized for even the most casual of player to pick up on . Even then I think Carter will not be picked by that many because he claimed to be in remission during Dec and a lot of the sharks dropped him.
