Monday bbc1 at 9, has a ten year update on Stephen Fry since the original programme on his battle with bipolarity, manic street preachers etc.

Maybe insightful.

Afore it airs, he has quit Twitter , again, in a strop over summat.

I loved when Rik and Ade made fun of his potentional suicidal trip on a ferry to the Brugges

Shelley Berman (b. 1925) perhaps best-known nowadays for playing Larry David's father on CYE

Shelley Berman is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

its noted that he was asked to make a public statement only now and not when he was originally diagnosed. Also according to the article he is scrambling quickly to it.

Is he worth a thread of his own? Possibly not, but he is worth watching ..

Who?

Eddie Izzard that's who.

27 marathons on the bounce is fuckin not 'good' for anyone's health, and the first today has left him feeling like shit.

Caroline Aherne does some voice work for an ad:

http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/cancer-survivor-caroline-aherne-fronts-7798519

I actually didn't know that she has or had all kinds of cancer.

She will also speak at the Macmillan Cancer Foundation (?) tomorrow.

I knew about the lung cancer, but not about the bladder, retina and throat cancer.

I knew about Aherne's lung, bladder, retina and throat cancer, but not that she was a associated with comedy.

I think the one to watch from the Hi-di-Hi cast would be Barry Howard (b.1937) who played the professional ballroom dancer he was apparently often seen as a dame in Pantomine alongside John Inman.

Allo, Allo it is definitely Sam Kelly.

Within 3 years, both gone.

But within those three years he has not been picked for the DDP once.

Ah, one of my DDP receives a lifetime achievement award (or as I like to call it, fast tracking fatalness). http://www.scotsman.com/lifestyle/arts/news/stanley-baxter-lands-lifetime-achievement-award-1-3677055

I think that Journalists should be banned from using the word Veteren (except to describe people who fought in a specific conflict) and replace it with Expected to die soon....

Stanley turns 90 tomorrow, amazed he doesn't have his own thread. Anyway, here's a recent interview referring to his shot spine and knee replacements and a lovely pic of him with Ronnie Corbett. Doesn't sound like he's joining him soon, but a lot of year to go: http://www.heraldscotland.com/arts_ents/14506696._I_wake_up_and_check_the_obituaries_in_the_paper__If_I___m_not_listed__I_get_up__Stanley_Baxter_on_turning_90/

Fairs fair, he is looking very dapper, good on him.

Nothing to stop you creating one. I also thought he had one.

Carla Lane dies. http://ichef-1.bbci.co.uk/news/736/cpsprodpb/15364/production/_89848868_89848867.jpg

Television writer Carla Lane, who created shows including 1980s Liverpool sitcom Bread, has died aged 87.

Lane, who was born in Liverpool and later became known for her animal rights activism, also wrote Butterflies and co-wrote The Liver Birds.

Bread, which focused on the extended Boswell family, aired for seven series between 1986 and 1991.

The Liver Birds aired from 1969 to 1979 - and once again in 1996 - while Butterflies aired from 1978 to 1983.

Bread followed the working class Boswell family as they struggled through the city's high unemployment and poor prospects in the late 1980s.
