Sad news if true, always value for money. In commemoration I shall have a couple of pints of the Black Stuff. I can do that.

John, Paul, George, Ringo and Bert?

There doesn't appear to be, lots of posts on & around his birthday but nothing to suggest he's (Deceased). Only two mentions on Twixxer as far as I can see.

I haven't read all of it but got enough info to find out who he was.

It wouldn't be that much of a shock if Susan Hall was voted in; London did elect Alexander de Pfeffel after all. -

I do. A late-adopter - I was a "two-thousand-and-two"er for a long time -on the strength of Paxman saying it on UC. Logically, "twenty-oh-two" would be the correct way to say it. Show me anyone who doesn't say "nineteen-oh-two", "eighteen-oh-two" etc. Granted, by that same logic we should have been saying "twenty-hundred" but nobody ever did (not even Paxman afaik) -

Looking at Young Odda's credits (he's Brian Vernal btw), I realise now I recognised him from Gangs of London; such is the contrast in the parts of Odda & Billy Wallace (his Gangs of London character) I didn't recognise him in GoL from TLK.
