I thought about adding him but figured he'd get better. Shows I've got a lot to learn still.

NY Times confirm Ned Miller died on March 18th (his Wiki was edited to say this at the time but no report came...)

Had a UK number 2 hit in 1962 with "From a Jack to a King".

The song was also covered by Elvis

Bonnie Brown, youngest sister of the late Jim Ed Brown has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma right lung cancer. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/country/6708163/bonnie-brown-lung-cancer-diagnosis

Now said to be cancer free

Of course, Jim Ed was saying the same for himself around this time last year, so we can probably still expect her to go in June!

Well she saw June out, but getting through July looking like a shakier prospect: http://tasteofcountry.com/bonnie-brown-critical-care-prayers/

May she rest with the angels for all eternity, etc.

In other news, this year, I've had DDP hits from people with surnames beginning with A,B,C, D, E ,F, G and H.

Will definitely be selecting an "I' next year.

Must be a kicker to get that false hope in January, only for it to all fall apart months later. RIP.

A good example of never writing off a DDP pick as a wasted one in March, as its a marathon we play, not a sprint.

80s/90s country singer Holly Dunn is unwell:

"Back in March of this year, I was diagnosed with a rare, very aggressive form of ovarian cancer. If you read the statistics, it is very bleak. Good thing I don't believe in statistics! I had surgery and now I am having chemo treatments. I have since grown more tumors and it is going to be more of a battle than I anticipated, but I have a huge faith in the healing power of God and the healing power within me that originates from my God. I look towards a future when I am completely healed and cancer free. I ask for prayers of strength and courage as this journey continues."

Multi-instrumentalist Hubert Dwane “Hoot” Hester, a master fiddler who played with legends ranging from Ray Charles to Earl Scruggs and was a member of the Grand Ole Opry staff band for more than a dozen years, died Tuesday, 11 months after he was diagnosed with cancer. He was 65 years old and had made music in Nashville for 43 of those years.
