says he is 'dying' from kidney disease and has 'eighteen months to live'

Quote

There’s no cure for my type of disease. So, you know, I’ve served. I’ve served 11 years already, and, quite frankly, I’ve suffered through it,” Madoff told the newspaper, which noted that he has been moved to palliative care in the Federal Medical Center prison in Butner, N.C.

82 today.

With his lawyer claiming he has less than 18 months to live, this could be his last.

Various reports comparing Madoff (who got bail) with Ghislaine Maxwell (who has been denied bail).

Not comparable I'd have thought, but good to see Madoff still kicking to be in the same reports as Maxwell.

Sad that Carl J. Shapiro, who died a few months ago aged 108, didn’t outlive Madoff in the end.

Shapiro was one of Madoff’s biggest victims. Madoff stole millions from his family, much of it from their charity.

Just over 14 months later, sounds like this was one thing he was telling the truth about.
