Alice Olivia Pyne was born in January 1996 in the county of Westmorland.

So she'd be 16 in January 2012. I thought the lower age limit for DDP was 18?

I thought it was 16, via Josie Grove's death being at that age. I could be wrong though. But yeah, obviously, tragic all round.

I think they increased the age because of Josie Grove. Some people thought that choosing under 18s who were famous only for their tragic stories of terminal illness was a step too far.

Having just looked at the website, the DDP scoring system has a minimum age of 18. So Pyne wouldn't be eligible for another 2 and a half years, by which time she will almost certainly be dead.

No. We changed that rule after Josie Grove's death. 18 is the lowest you can go...

After all, we may be a group of weirdos who try to predict the deaths of famous people with points based on age and cause of death followed by a series of puns about their death, BUT WE HAVE STANDARDS HERE.

Picking up on the point in that article about falling numbers of people entering The Race For Life, this may have something to do with the unbelievable amount of crappy junk mail they send you after participating - I did it a couple of years ago, and now am the lucky recipient of shit mail on an almost weekly basis from them - if they spent the money I'd raised on cancer research rather than filling my letterbox with bollocks, I may have been more inclined to take part again. Instead I now do the fund raising walk held by our local hospice, Dorothy House. Much less crap mail, and you can actually see where your money is going. Is it against the rules to post a scrounging link to my donation page? :P

If such a hospice happens to house any celebrities, it's compulsory. :P

He could also go on the authors thread by

is more a fringe news story. Probably the UK's oldest first-time published poet. With his 100th birthday just about in sight and a career record including flying Spitfires he'll doubtless by Daily Telegraph obit-worthy when he goes. But he looks fairly chipper at the moment.

The guy who played the lorry driver in the

has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his wife. He apparently faces jail and, idk, from the look of him I don't fancy his chances inside.

Actor Jim Nabors is in the hospital but no waves from the reaper yet.

I think Jim Nabors is more famous than you think. Not really one for the "Fringes of Fame" thread

A Clapton tribute act, with a difference.

In fairness, Eric taught Conor Clapton to read at a really early age. He could get through 40 stories in five seconds.

"Martin" bedridden stroke victim with a death wish, our kinda guy, but marginal to most dead pool scoring systems.

A hitherto little known, hard working, Welsh miner now has a fleeting moment of fame he never wanted. Let's hope his companions survive to pay tribute to him.

Former Broward County Sheriff Nick Navarro has died aged 81.

He initiallly came to prominence by featuring in the Fox TV show COPS, and gained more exposure when he ordered the arrest of 2 Live Crew for obscenity, arising from a performance of tracks from their album As Nasty as They Wanna Be.

A potential magnet for ranter fire, and marginal obit chances at best but...it's just possible that some of the press will take an interest in Aaron Anderson, terminally ill brother of X-Files star Gillian Anderson.

AOL reporting today that Big Ben (by which they mean the tower not the bell, which is the actual "Big Ben") is leaning and causing concern. This is AOL News, and therefore should be treated with the utter contempt their sensationalist barrel-scraping of fringe stories and reinventing them as something akin to news deserves. But I thought I'd share it with the group.

Brandon Regan might just sneak an obit/snippet of coverage if he succeeds in singing with Garth Brooks. It's gotta be this year because he is unlikely to be alive when Brooks' first dates of 2012 take place.
