Octopus of Odstock 1,855 Posted July 19, 2007 Trio of footballing deaths to report:- Former Reading FC player Roy Green has died, aged 75, West Country legend Dave Hancock, who played for the holy trinity of Exeter City, Plymouth Argyle AND Torquay United has died, at the age of 68, and Ove Grahn, who played in the 1970 & 1974 World Cups for Sweden, is also död, aged 64. Octopus of Odstock 1,855 Posted July 20, 2007 High drama today for Ali Meshkini. He started the day as dead as can be, then was upgraded to being in a coma, and is now much better as the day ends. Octopus of Odstock 1,855 Posted July 20, 2007 Former Luton Town legend, David Preece, has died, at just 44 years of age, after a short illness. I used to live near Luton & went down to watch them from time to time when Reading had an away game, and once or twice I met Preece, who was down-to-earth & had plenty of time for everybody - a very nice man indeed. He also played in the Premiership for Derby & was a member of the famous Littlewoods Cup win for Luton in 1988. A great loss, at a relatively early age. I mean Nancy Mansfield, despite appearing in one of the most popular 80's shows & having a long stage career has had no obit, to name just one. Tuddenham, who only had one noteworthy role, and a bit part role at that, is on the periphery of fame & I'm not all surprised that the only publication that has covered his death is the Littlehampton Gazette in all honesty. He was attempting to fly from Basel, Switzerland to Oshkosh, Wisconsin, a distance of nearly 5000 miles. Sadly with 4997 miles still to go his, fuel laden plane crashed in to a block of flats.
