Speaking of the word bastard I was shocked and surprised when I read about the Queen when investing some 'The Kinks' member with a CBE.

 

As you all know, the Queen tries to make conversation with the awarded people (this is often difficult because they are so common). Any how the guy from 'the Kinks' had been shot some time before so the Queen used this as a point for conversation.

 

So just before they guy left she apparently said, "I hope they catch the Bastards who shot you".

When I first saw this web site, I was a bit shocked, but reading on I think it's quite interesting. I do not think as Jane Tomlinson as being brave, as such, and I don't think that she would see herself as brave, she would see herself as getting on with what time she has left in her life.

where should I start... firstly my aunt suffered from cancer of the spine, I was with her right up until her final moments. my mother-in-law also died of breast cancer

And yes it is unfortunate as the only impact she's made is the money she is raising for charity.

I support the charity "Guide Dogs for the Blind", I'm not blind, no-one I know is blind or has been blinded by something, but it's a worthwhile cause (in my opinion) so I support it. I also support a cancer charity organisation in the US.

Americans please note, this is displaying "Irony".

 

Very impressive coming from a person that comes from Canada.

 

Somehow the British "Irony" gene was lost in the USA. It was replaced by the "Bible" gene.

 

I hope the Canadian breeding program notes this and takes steps to retain the fun element in Canada. As for the USA all is lost and they are even changing the school text books to reflect that genes are not passed on, as in the Darwin theory. A clever trick to shorten the history of life on earth and make it easier to pass exams. This is so because everything, pre human existance, is covered by a couple lines in "Genisis".

I am sure that Jane would laugh at some of the things that have been written about herself depending on what stage of health she is at, as would the rest of the Tomlinson family. She is inspirational in that she has achieved what only some of us dream about doing.To make us feel more inadequate, she makes targets and achieves her goals when her own health is in a balance constantly. Will she survive the year? I hope so. Should she spend more time with her family? Shouldn't we all no matter what out state of health is? Should she teach her children bravery in the face of adversity, make her husband appreciate life is for living? Yes.
