The imposter's widow was quoted as saying; 'His songs were as lighthearted as his personality.' So he fooled her, then.

The impostor's widow must be a moron. Too bad it doesn't sound like she has much money, otherwise some crafty old gent could tell her he was William Shakespeare and quote sonnets to win her love. Except she probably never heard of Shakespeare.

Dead, Kawai Cockett.

Send ashes up in rocket,

Like Star Trek Scottie.

Yeah, barely a quarter-rhyme on the last but anyone else care to do better?

Kawai Cockett a singer of Hawaiian haiku. Dead aged 67.

Sample the magic here.

Not better, just more options:

Dead, Kawai Cockett

Send ashes up in Rocket

Or down your Pocket.

One for the Eurovision fans and Norwegians among us...

One of Norway's most famous singers, Jan Werner Danielsen, has been found dead in his apartment aged just 30. He represented Norway in 1994 along with the lovely Elisabeth Andreassen with 'Duett'.

No cause of death has been announced though the rumour is that it was suicide (he had a history of depression apparently).

I thought Norway's only famous singer was the guy out of A-ha.

Or indeed Varg Vikernes aka Count Grisnackh, although he's only really famous for burning churches and murdering ex-band members.

Never heard of this lot! However, I was tempted to read a little further, and saw this about another member, Per Yngve Ohlin, whose stage name was "Dead" and obviously wanted to "live" (die?) up to it:

"On April 8, 1991, a fellow Mayhem band member, Øystein 'Euronymous' Aarseth, found Dead dead  with slit wrists, and a shotgun wound to the head"

Peter Norman

Aussie sprinter who took silver in the 1968 Olympic 200m has died aged 64. His time of 20.06 is still the Australian record.

The event is remembered in particular for the black power salutes given on the podium by the other 2 medallists, Americans Tommie Smith and John Carlos. "Norman wore a human rights badge in support of the pair"

A brave man for the gesture. He knew what Smith and Carlos were going to do and was asked to join in the salute, but declined for the obvious reason. All three were terrified of being killed, and he did not need to wear the badge, so fair play to him for doing so.
