News has it that Prince Friso shows "very minimal signs of consciousness". Looks like he's recovered completely. :duck:

National Geographic announced his death this morning. No word yet from the official press secretary of the Dutch Royal House.
Could be a painful mistake, a misplaced joke or they know more than we do... NG resumed their normal programming anyway.

Update:
As expected, the Royal press agency (RVD) denies he died.

BBC News said:

He had been skiing with between one and three other people off the marked pistes when the avalanche hit shortly after midday local time last Friday, said resort officials.

Would that be two people, then?

Regardless of poor journalism, this is sad news and I'm sorry to hear it.

Doctors are saying the Prince will survive, but he has suffered massive brain damage.
