He survived Wednesday, may well survive this year because the Americans won't want to annoy Pakistan any more than they already have. So if the peace talks start going badly in the new year...

Might be worth a punt. Politicians and tribal/terrorist leaders aren't noted for their ability to die of old age in Pakistan.

The Pakistani taliban have chosen the friendly ,charismatic Asmatullah Shaheen Bhittani as the late Hakimullah Mehsuds successor. Here's on e of his better photos.. http://tribune.com.p...ader-spokesman/ I expect he'll be the victim of a drone strike by around wednesday..
