Bonnie Brown, youngest sister of the late Jim Ed Brown has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma right lung cancer. http://www.billboard...ancer-diagnosis

Now said to be cancer free

Of course, Jim Ed was saying the same for himself around this time last year, so we can probably still expect her to go in June!

Praise the Lord!  So, what happened, He took her husband instead?

Country legend Merle Haggard has pneunomia:

http://theboot.com/m...gard-pneumonia/

Not necessarily dangerous for a 78-year old man, but he's a long-time smoker and also had lung cancer at one point.

The article also mentions that Haggard's current collaborator Willie Nelson required stem-cell therapy in the summer to help his lungs. Of course, he's also a long-time smoker - if not THE long-time smoker.of all kinds of things.

Released from hospital, was nearly dead because of double pneunomia:

Though he overall seems to be recovering, still not 100% as he's axed a couple more tour dates.
