Bring it on. Let's find Maddie and allow her to rest in peace.

You now need to change your DL name to "Sweepyface" RA.
T'will be a fitting tribute to a Queen troll or summat.

Complete travesty.
How they get away with it every time I just can never fathom.
The strings that they pull must be near enough unique.
I hope a sweet future will arrive one day.

Careful what you say, Sky News will be on to you...

I particularly enjoyed this complaint from the delightful Mrs M:

"Every time he postpones the case, like this, it brings us more pain and distress, Every time we come here we have to make arrangements for our children to be looked after, we have to book flights, we have to book hotels, we have to take time off work to come here."

Kate & Gerry back in Portugal for the libel trial which has now been postponed. They are angry and upset.

Sun, sand, sea...

There's no pleasing some miserable northerners, eh?

I did go and check on that one; she is from Liverpool, he from Glasgow. However Madelaine was born in Leicester which makes her a proud member of the East Midlands community who are neither north nor south nor Brummies (despite what the ITV adaptation of Adrian Mole would have you believe). The school she was enrolled at before she went missing is close to my in-laws house.

If this libel trial fails does this clear the way for UK publication of the Portugese detectives book?

There's nothing to stop anyone here accessing a download (which I'm assuming are freely available in cyberspace). Given that the detective is using a few obvious ruses, like sacking his lawyer, to avoid court I can't help thinking he's shitting himself about losing once he faces the McCanns in court. In any case, there's a separate legal argument to he had about libel/their reputation in the UK, where I think they could make a really good case that his malicious smearing and attempts to cover his own incompetance would harm their reputation and - by implication - their ability to raise money to fund the search for Madeline.
