Hi, I'd like to point out an error. On this page, Lord Denning is listed as born in 1903. Yet it says he was 100 years old. Which one is it?

You like posting in this thread more than BG likes bumping "Deathlist 2014"

Still good point though, although there's a few errors there in the murky depths of those old pages. You probably shouldn't spend too long poking around in those dusty old things you'll give yourself chronic hackingcoughitis or summat.

The reason I looked at those old DL versions was because I wanted to see which celebs have been picked most times. So far, those with 10+ appearences are...

Clive Dunn: 16
Queen Mother: 14
Ronald Reagan: 14
Ronnie Biggs: 13
Bob Hope: 13
Kirk Douglas: 12
Eli Wallach: 12
Pope John Paul: 12
Fidel Castro: 11
Michael Foot: 11
Katharine Hepburn: 11
Barbara Cartland: 11
Kurt Waldheim: 11
Jake Lamotta: 10
General Pinochet: 10
John Mills: 10
Alistair Cooke: 10
Don Bradman: 10

And yes, I appear to post a lot in this thread. Sorry, I'll see to it that I tone it down a bit in the future.

No need to apologise that is valuable data that you have collated.

I don't think Kirk Douglas will beat Clive Dunn.

Update:

Btw, is there a "DL-statistics" thread or something to that extent in this website?

What happened to the Politicians Thread? We used that for talking about erm, politics...

Different from the Political Frailty thread that was used for pointing out which politicians are really old/ill!

.... or likely to be assassinated

Full version error still present. Any chance of a fix?

I don't understand your complaint. Can you describe the problem, preferably with a pictore?

regards,
Hein

i can't take a picture unfortunately but basically when using the annoying mobile site i can click the full version box at the bottom of the screen which takes me to the full site. In short when i click that button it takes me back to the too of the page remaining in the mobile site.

I spotted one only mods are affected by. As members may have noticed, the forum software does something 'clever' when you start a new topic: it changes the title of the topic from 'SOmething like THIS' to 'Something Like This', presumably to avoid titles 'IN ALLCAPS'. This misfeature has been around for several years. A misfeature, because it also ruins abbreviations and other multi-capital words. Until the upgrade a mod had a button to change titles that would bypass that misfeature. In the new version that button also uses it. As a result I had to modify the title of a recently created topic with the abbreviation 'UK' in it through the admin database tools.

I hate it when software knows best and won't let me do the Right Thing.

regards,
Hein

I did notice a few things in the main forum page:

problums.jpg

The wrong colour is a CSS setting, I haven't found out wich one though.

I have no idea where the grey circle segment comes from.

I'll have a closer look tonight.

regards,

Hein

I'm pretty certain that the segment of a circle was there before and the blue box, as I said previously, is needed by Time as it's his mode of transport. :)

Please be patient, I will solve it.

Looks like I did it. Please check if things have changed for the worse.

Get that man a drink! He's a star!

For your next trick, can you recover the thread taglines? Some people worked hard on those, I've heard.

Surgery seems to have been successful.

Hein
